The former Geovillage of Olbia is increasingly closer to being converted into an international school in English . But the plans for the historic resort also include the creation of a university campus , a five-star hotel and a sports center . At the deadline for expressions of interest scheduled for August 30th, Cipnes Gallura did not receive any other proposal other than the one presented by the Salima Foundation - attributable to the family of the Kazakh financier Aldiyar Kaztayev . The latter involves an operation of approximately 11 million euros through Anglo Language Mediterranean Academy srl , an operating company based in the Gallura capital. Last May, Alma srl paid the industrial consortium two million euros in advance as a deposit and in the coming months the definitive contract for the implementation of the new development plan will be signed. L

The international school will be private and from the 2024-2025 school year it will welcome pupils aged 5 to 18. The goal is to attract around 500 students, including from abroad. The company has committed to making 50 beds available in the facility for the entire school year. The price, regulated, is established by the Ersu tariffs.

The reconversion project also includes the creation of a hotel which will then be managed by a hotel chain. Cipnes Gallura will keep the football and five-a-side football pitches, the swimming pool, the indoor stadium and the tennis courts on loan for use.
