The exclusive Subaru BRZ in the STI Sport version is officially presented in Japan: prices and equipment have been announced.

The updated Subaru BRZ in the STI Sport version has been presented in Japan.

The Japanese version of the Subaru BRZ sports coupe received a new STI Sport modification.

In fact, this is an analogue of the BRZ tS version recently announced in the USA with improved driving characteristics.

The car is equipped with 17-inch Brembo brakes front and rear, gold calipers and ventilated discs.

Also installed are 18-inch Dark Metallic wheels complete with 215/40 R18 tires.

STI shock absorbers with sensitive frequency response are installed.

Exterior changes include black accents on the mirrors and antenna, as well as red surrounds for the BRZ logo in the headlights.

The interior features red and black suede and leather trim and dark metal inserts. Red start/stop button with STI logo.

Subaru plans to sell about 350 cars per month at a price of 3.762 million yen.

For the version with an automatic transmission they ask for 3.8 million yen. Sales of the BRZ STI Sport for the Japanese market will begin on September 24 at the FUJI 86/BRZ STYLE 2023 festival.

In addition, the Japanese version of the 2024 BRZ has an EyeSight system with adaptive cruise control, including for models with manual transmission.

Also updated are VDC stability control and tire selection on the base R version.

Under the hood is still a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter Boxer, with power sent to the rear wheels.

Subaru has announced the 2024 BRZ lineup in Japan, highlighting the expansion of the Eyesight ADAS package for manual models and the new STI Sport trim level.

The latter is aimed at sharper driving dynamics with an STI-tuned suspension and Brembo brakes, just like the North American 2024 Subaru BRZ tS.

The STI Sport won’t get a fancy body kit, but will get more subdued cherry red STI badging on the grille, tailgate and all-LED headlights.

The shark fin antenna and mirror caps are crafted from crystal black silica, matching the dark metallic hue of the 18-inch aluminum wheels shod with high-performance 215/40R18 tires.

The cabin is decorated with STI logos and ultra-suede and full-grain leather upholstery in a combination of black and burgundy with red stitching, as well as several dark metallic accents.

Car enthusiasts can also select additional STI Sport parts, including a carbon fiber rear spoiler and a more pronounced splitter, as well as other exterior and interior details.

The JDM-spec BRZ STI Sport uses the same chassis upgrades as the US-spec BRZ tS.

A beefier Brembo braking system includes 17-inch ventilated discs and gold-plated brake calipers, while a sharper STI-tuned suspension includes Hitachi Astemo SFRD front shock absorbers and upgraded rear shock absorbers.

The entire 2024 Subaru BRZ lineup features advanced Vehicle Dynamics Control.

All manual BRZ models come standard with Subaru’s Eyesight ADAS package, which was previously only offered on automatic versions.

The BRZ R trim will also get a different set of 17-inch tires.

Subaru hasn’t made any changes to the naturally aspirated 2.4-liter boxer engine, which produces the same 232 hp in Japanese spec. and 250 Nm.

Power is transmitted to the rear axle through a 6-speed manual or 6 automatic transmission.

The JDM-spec 2024 Subaru BRZ will debut at Fuji Speedway on September 24.

The model is already available for order in Japan at a price of 3,300,000 yen or 2.1 million rubles.
