WIESBADEN – Producer prices of agricultural products were 34.7% higher in March 2022 than in March 2021. This is the highest rise in prices compared with the same month a year earlier since the survey was first conducted in 1961. Producer prices increased by 15.1% from February 2022 alone. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the prices of both plant products and animal products recorded significant increases from the same month a year earlier (+42.1% and +29.5%, respectively).
